Join us in Tavistock town centre on Saturday 6th May as we come together as a community to celebrate the King’s Coronation
We’ve pulled out all the stops to mark this tremendous achievement with a magnificent, delightfully nostalgic, fun-packed day for all the family.
Perhaps you might like to have a go at Swing Dancing – Mad About Swing will be on hand to lead you gently through the dance-steps as you glide across the cobbles to the sounds of a bygone age.
You’ll be able to help yourself to the grindage from our street food stalls, and our Pimms bar too. Or if you prefer, indulge in a traditional cream-tea. Whatever your preference, be sure to razz your berries in a ringside seat. You might even shed the odd sentimental tear as you hug your loved ones close.
You’ll find lots to do in the fun Kids Zone. Watch as tiny (and maybe not so tiny) faces light up with delight at our traditional Punch & Judy Show. Beloved by generations, this show is for the whole family and features the hilarious antics of Mr Punch and his long-suffering wife Judy! The amazing Rainbow Gecko will also be there to wow its tiny audience with a magical bubble-show and face-painting. Mary Tavy School will start the afternoon off dancing around the May Pole.
Finish the day off tapping to 70’s band Red Code with a beer or Pimms in hand! Street Food & Music Festival runs 17:00 – 20:00.
