About

We offer two basic tours each covering different areas of Dartmoor which can be tailored to your needs making them completely bespoke especially if there is a place you’ve always wanted to visit but didn’t know how to get to.

Maybe you would like to end the day with a glorious sunset or watch a full moon rise over distant hills? For lovers of spooky attractions we can even offer a trip to a local haunted castle!

Wherever we take you for your day out we can also show you some fabulous places to dine.

The Devil’s Quest
This tour is based on the legend surrounding Jan Reynolds, a Dartmoor landowner, who made a pact with the Devil to have seven years good luck as a gambler in return for his soul. At the end of the allotted time the Devil returns to claim his part of the bargain and our route follows the one he took in order to complete his quest.

The Dartmoor Quest
This tour starts to the south of the moor at the atmospheric ruins of Buckfastleigh church, where can be found the tomb of Squire Cabal with his links to the famous Sherlock Holmes novel, Hound of the Baskervilles. We then head north across Holne Moor taking in the many sights including Venford Reservoir, Hangman’s Pit and Combestone Tor…the only tor on the moor with its own car park! Reaching Princetown, we pass Dartmoor prison and take in the panoramic vistas of the middle moor with its distant rugged skylines and quarried landscape.

Once on the north moor we visit Brentor and its lofty church on the hill and end up in the ancient village of Lydford with its imposing castle keep full of history and neighbouring quaint church.
