Chagford Country Music Night 2023

By popular demand Wrecking Ball and Special Guests will be returning to the Chagford Jubilee Hall in October.  Led by multiple award-winning country music outlaw Mark Hills, the band’s repertoire is founded on the ever-popular country sounds of Tennessee and Texas.

Wrecking Ball’s DNA is rooted in the Outlaw Country style of Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and its modern evolution represented by Eric Church, Chris Janson, Chris Stapleton, Darryl Worley, and Luke Bryan.  Traditional, iconic songwriting brought right up-to-date with the sound of modern country musicians.

The band’s style of music is based on a super-solid rhythm section with chiming guitars and powerful vocals straight from Nashville’s Music Row.  Featuring singer and guitarist Mark Hills on lead vocals, the Wrecking Ball line-up includes accomplished players all with credible music industry experience and all sharing a love for this amazing, edgy and soulful music.

In addition to their repertoire of modern outlaw country music tracks Wrecking Ball will perform a number of their own tracks as well as some classic covers.  The band has a full schedule of performances at clubs, private and corporate functions and festival stages but is always keen to hear from event organisers planning an event.  When you hear Wrecking Ball, you will be transported straight to one of East Nashville’s honky-tonk bars – an experience not to be missed.

The event will take place on Friday 27 October 2023 at the Jubilee Hall, Chagford with doors open from 7:30pm.  Admission only by ticket which are  available from Sally’s Newsagents  and Jaded Palates,  both in Chagford Square.
