The Design
Crafted by acclaimed artists Andrew Sinclair, a master sculptor, and Diane Coates-Sinclair, Burnswood Boutique Escapes features a distinctive ‘Artist’s Garret’ studio apartment and two artistically designed luxury Shepherd’s Huts. Set in a tranquil Devon meadow surrounded by hills, woodlands, alpacas, and art, this retreat is a feast for the senses.

The Artist’s Garret
Access the ‘Garret’ via a picturesque tree-lined path, leading through an archway to a front door nestled within the shimmering canopy. Once inside, you’ll be welcomed into a truly enchanting space filled with the perfect northern light for artists. The bohemian ambiance is accentuated by vibrant artistic details, including antique Indian doors in the bedroom and beautifully painted teak columns in the living area.

Luxury Shepherd’s Huts
Each hut boasts its own unique color scheme and provides a luxurious and peaceful experience. Enjoy interiors inspired by blueberry dusk and the exotic flair of Emma Shipley’s designer soft furnishings. Rodin’s Retreat features refreshing lime green accents, while Da Vinci’s Den showcases a striking red and turquoise palette. Both huts are equipped with expansive stargazing roof windows—imagine lying in a plush king-size bed, stargazing under the clear Devon night sky. Each hut also includes a fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, along with double stable doors that lead to a charming outdoor seating area adorned with antique cast-iron tables and chairs, as well as a firepit/barbecue. Tucked away behind each hut, you’ll discover a stunning log-fired Swedish outdoor bath and private decking with recliners—an idyllic hideaway for two!
