Duchy House is a newly refurbished Victorian guest house in the centre of Princetown, a two-minute walk away from the village pubs, cafes and shops, as well as the Dartmoor National Park visitor centre and Dartmoor Brewery.
We have five en-suite rooms, all tastefully furnished to complement the Victorian house and the surrounding landscape. Individually named after Dartmoor tors, each room has a Nespresso coffee machine , flat-screen TV, free W i F i and complimentary toiletries. Room types available include super king-size double, twin, classic double and triple / family.
Breakfast is always a special occasion with a wide variety of homemade choices available, from a locally sourced cooked breakfast to a healthy smoothie – and everything in between.
Numerous walks and cycle trails start from our front door and there are many more within easy reach. We can help you plan a walk or ride and even provide you with a homemade packed lunch to enjoy on your day out. For your peace of mind, we have dedicated secure bike storage and private off road parking.
Duchy House sits at the crossroads of Dartmoor so exploring the area is easy. The ancient town of Tavistock is only seven miles away, and several National Trust properties and moorland golf courses are within easy reach.
Due to Coronavirus we are currently closed and are using this time to carry out building work, renovations and refurbishment. We look forward to welcoming you from 1st July 2021, when all the rooms will have received a makeover and been upgraded.
