Bring the children and discover the wonders of The Acer Glade at The Garden House, Buckland Monachorum. This is an eagerly awaited highlight of the year in the garden with spectacular autumn hues (from mid October to mid November), delivered by an abundance of Japanese maples in a glade running from the top of the garden down to the ornamental bridge. The intensity of colour varies each year (weather dependant) but almost never fails to delight. The richness of colour from brilliant yellows to deep crimson reds is simply breath-taking. Children can also race around the 10 acres of stunning garden whilst undertaking an ‘Animal’ trail – lots of lovely carved wooden animals tucked away in special places to find! The gardens are open daily (except Mondays) until the end of October and then from 1st November to March – Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.
