Ashburton is very fortunate to have a lovely community run open air pool that appeals to children and adults alike. It is 21m long by 9m wide and is heated to 27-30 Degrees C. We run a variety of different sessions to suit all and where possible offer discounts to make it affordable to all, bookable online.
You’ll find the pool in the heart of this historic South Devon town, nestled on the southern side of the vast Dartmoor National Park. It’s easily accessed from the A38 with parking nearby in central Ashburton, approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk through the town where you’ll find a wide range of independent shops and eating establishments.
If you’re planning a day or afternoon out, we have a lovely field for picnics and games next to the pool and a small cafe for drinks, snacks and lollies. You can also pick up food from our local shops – Ashburton – Co-op, Spar, Ashburton Deli, The Fish Deli and not forgetting Creamo’s ice-cream.
Ashburton also has a wide selection of cafes – Rafiki’s, The Old Library Restaurant & Cafe, Taylors Cafe, Greedy Bird Kitchen and pubs The Silent Whistle and the The Exeter Inn.
The pool is run by a team of volunteers from the community and is a charity.
