“ I have never before, in my long and eclectic career, been gifted with such an abundance of natural beauty as I experienced filming War Horse on Dartmoor.” Steven Spielberg.
The Dingles Fairground Museum is proud to present the National Fairground Collection. It is a facility unique in the UK, designed to capture the magic of a bygone age through exhibits, vintage engineering and stunning artwork displays. The Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre is a 50,000 square foot indoor attraction that provides a unique opportunity to view our Fairground Heritage in a beautiful rural location.
We have a unique collection of Fairground art, historic rides, fairground organs and of course a collection of operating vintage fairground rides.
Generally, we run two operating sessions everyday so to make the best of your visit, check out our opening times on the Tickets page and we look forward to seeing you:
• Access-Dog Friendly, unfortunately we cannot allow other dogs into the Museum halls owing to the hazards of operating vintage fairground rides
• Child Friendly – we love families and bring the grandparents
• Horse Friendly – we are on the edge of the moor and horses can be bought to the site, but for the same reasons cannot enter the museum.
• Accessible – flat access from parking into all of our halls, toilets, etc.
We are open throughout 2024, but we will be closing. Don’t miss out, come and see us this year.
