Lakemoor Alpacas based in South Devon, on the foothills of Dartmoor, offer alpaca experiences, walks, and much more. Close to the market town of Ashburton, and the wonderful Buckfast Abbey, the views from the farm are beautiful.
Meet the alpacas and learn more about these fascinating animals, walk an alpaca on a lead rein around the farm and enjoy a Devon cream tea. Alpacas are calm and gentle animals, each with their own personality, making them wonderful walking companions, or just to meet and hand feed. You may even get an alpaca ‘kiss’, a sniff with a whisker tickle.
Your visit will be private and exclusive to you and your group, so we are able to tailor it to your needs and wishes.
Adopt an alpaca and follow the life of your chosen alpaca, then look forward to your farm visit or experience. A great present for an animal lover on their special occasion.
We got our first alpacas in 2015; Honeysuckle, Elegance and their babies (cria) Aslan and Mr Tumnus. We now have a larger herd who help us with our experiences and adoptions. We have themes each year, most recently Skyfall, Thunderball, Strawberry Fields and Moneypenny – why not come and meet the cria (babies).
We also offer needle felting and wet felting workshops. A voucher makes the perfect gift for someone special to visit our farm and experience these wonderful animals and glorious views, or alternatively attend a needle felting workshop to create your very own handcrafted animal, picture or brooch.
Please contact us for details and to arrange your visit as booking is essential. We operate all year round subject to the weather.
