Welcome to Furzeleigh Mill our 16th century former mill in glorious Devon. Furzeleigh Mill has been a small country hotel for about 100 years having started life as a spring fed corn mill in 1547. It sits between the ancient stannary town of Ashburton with its foodie reputation and wonderful antique shops and the former woollen town of Buckfastleigh boasting quaint streets and many artisan shops.
Our head chef, Mark Brankin is inspired by the expansive and quality nature of Devon produce. Daily fresh fish and seafood landed at nearby Brixham, the best Devon ruby beef, west country lamb, pork and game, and the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables. The combined talent of our chef team creates daily menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
Eating and drinking well in congenial company is so important to us it has become an obsession. At The Mill Room, we feel we have developed a menu that really offers something for everyone. All you need to do, as lavender perfumes the lunchtime air or dusk throws shapes and shades over the surrounding hills, is choose your mood. We’ll take care of the rest.
