The wonderful annual village fayre at Peter Tavy is a great afternoon out for all ages, held around the Village Hall and Methodist Chapel in the centre of the village on Bank Holiday Monday, 29th August 2022.

From 2.00pm onwards you’ll find games, stalls, delicious home-made refreshments, demonstrations and displays of competition entries.

Try your luck on the Tombola stall or Grand Raffle (including the star prize of a meal for two at the popular Peter Tavy Inn. Have a go on the coconut shy and skittle alley, or test your skill and have fun on some of the many other unique and intriguing games.

Browse through the Granny’s Attic, Books, Plants and Garden, Home-made Cakes or Jams & Preserves stalls. Enjoy an ice cream and sit down to soak up the atmosphere over a tea or coffee, with scrumptious cakes and savouries

Enjoy the entertainment and the sheep shearing demonstration, or pop into the Village Hall to admire the skills of the young and old entrants in the many village fayre competitions – from cakes and flower arrangements to crafts, art and creative writing.

Try to choose a winning duck and head over to the Colley Brook bridge to watch the exciting Duck Race through the centre of the village.

The Fayre is a great family afternoon out – a slice of traditional village life in which the whole community gets involved. All monies raised go to help Peter Tavy Village Hall, Church & Chapel.

Alongside the Fayre, the annual Peter Tavy Plod footrace and fun run will take place on the Bank Holiday Monday, starting at 1.00pm.
