The famous Two Bridges Hotel, in the heart of Dartmoor, has achieved exceptional recognition in the south west hospitality sector, with a hat-trick of awards from three leading organisations.
The hotel and restaurant, well known for its top quality food based around some of the best locally sourced ingredients, recently received the news that it had once again achieved the coveted Two Rosette award for culinary excellence from the AA.
The Two Bridges Hotel also achieved recognition in the Food Drink Devon Awards 2024, with general manager Thomas John and head chef Josh Chan picking up the prestigious award for Best Hotel Restaurant at a glittering celebration dinner at Exeter’s Sandy Park Conference Centre.
The hotel has also been recognised once again in the annual Taste of the West Awards, achieving gold awards in both the restaurant and hotel categories.
General manager Thomas John commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved such a strong showing in these well-respected awards programmes, and it’s a real credit to our hard-working team and our fabulous local suppliers. It’s particularly pleasing that each of the awards comes as a result of an anonymous visit by an expert judge, in each case giving our food and service a thorough inspection through the eyes of the customer.”
Reporting on their visit to the hotel, the Food Drink Devon judges commented: “The Food Drink Devon Awards aim to find the very best in our wonderful county and make sure that everyone else knows how good they are. At Two Bridges we found one of the very best.”
