Sleeping overnight on the roadside or in car parks is not permitted within the bounds of Dartmoor National Park but Dartmoor does have some wonderful campsites that offer easy access to the moor. Some of Dartmoor’s roads are too narrow for larger vehicles. Satellite navigation systems don’t take this into account so please refer to the Dartmoor National Park Coach Driver and Motorhome Guide to help you plan your route.
