Just a stone’s throw from Dartmoor National Park, the village of Ugborough is perfectly situated for you to explore the beautiful South Devon countryside. With the famously unspoilt beaches of the South Hams a short drive away, Brackenhill Glamping offers the ideal location for a family holiday to remember.
The 1.5 acre glamping field lies in a peaceful location on the edge of the village with views across the valley and of the beautiful church known locally as ‘the cathedral of the South Hams’.
There is plenty of space for the kids to roam within view of the safari tent….and it won’t be long before they discover the willow den and mud kitchen!
While you’re here, try something new! Ash, our friend from Dartmoor Beekeeping, is offering amazing, family friendly, beekeeping experiences to our guests. The two hour experiences are held up at the apiary on the edge of Dartmoor, a couple of miles from here and includes the following:
🐝 Suiting up, going through a hive, learning to ‘read the bees’ and how to spot the queen.
🐝 Enjoy tea and cake on the farm after and ask any questions you may have.
🐝 Includes all equipment: bee suit and gloves, no experiences necessary.
These experiences are currently available on Sundays 11th, 18th and 25th September and cost £35 per person. Ages 7 and up. Max 8 people.
Weekend glamping is available from £395 on these dates with a free, late check out on the Sunday for attendees of the beekeeping experiences or courses.

Dogs are welcome at Brackenhill Glamping for a small surcharge of £10 per dog (two dogs maximum) with the exception of assistance dogs. We ask that they are kept on leads in the glamping field as our chickens and cats are often found wandering around the tents. We provide a large dog bed, dog towel and two bowls and a dog welcome pack.
