If you’re looking for a place to watch the sun set over the moor, there are few better than Cox Tor, which stands on the western edge of Dartmoor’s high moor. The tor is part of a superb circular walk taking in Roos Tor and the Staple Tors.

From the top of Cox Tor, you’ll take in tremendous views that stretch out over Dartmoor, south Devon, the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the nearby town of Tavistock and the eastern edges of Cornwall.
