MAKE Southwest is an acclaimed exhibition space for contemporary craft and design as well as a leading charity for craft education.
Located in the heart of Bovey Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor, in a gorgeous old mill, our large galleries, workshop space and shop, offer a great venue with inspiring exhibitions and events encouraging people to buy, make and learn about contemporary craft.
Apart from a handful of items, we only sell the work of our membership (over 250 makers from across the Southwest), while the exhibitions aim to show a broad range of the best craft from around the country.
MAKE Southwest is a registered charity with educational aims. Profits from our trading ventures help to subsidise this work, which includes the exhibition programme, projects in schools and community groups, lectures, and training.
Rodney’s cafe at MAKE Southwest is located on our first floor (platform lift available) with access to a sunny rooftop terrace during the spring and summer months. A selection of light bites, cakes and seasonal specials are all homemade onsite using ingredients from local suppliers. Rodney’s is open the same hours as MAKE Southwest, Tue – Sat, 10am – 5pm.
