With the new Sense & Sensibility film arriving in cinemas on 25 September, Boringdon Hall is inviting guests to celebrate Jane Austen’s classic with a limited-edition Sense & Sensibility Afternoon Tea, available from 24 August to 30 September.
Created in collaboration with PoB Hotels, the themed afternoon tea has a special Devon connection. The new adaptation was filmed around Princetown, Tavistock and Gutter Tor, with Boringdon Hall – the historic five-star manor house on the edge of Dartmoor – perfectly placed for visitors looking to explore the landscapes featured in the film before enjoying a quintessentially English afternoon tea.
The hotel also has its own link to the story’s cinematic history. Boringdon Hall was the original home of the Parker family before they moved to nearby Saltram in the 18th century, creating a historical connection to the estate that featured in the celebrated 1995 Sense & Sensibility adaptation.

Afternoon Tea is served daily from 1pm–4pm and is priced from £35 per person. Guests can also upgrade their experience with a glass of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut (£21.50 per person) or Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé(£26 per person).
